Online business is not cheap. You need to spend thousands of dollars on the advertisements. You spend a lot of money on Google Adwords or on the other advertisers like adbrite etc. You also pay a lot of money for buying text link ads and banner space etc. So, in this case, it becomes very pricey to make known the business.

My Family tree tree have accommodation in Australia. I do our marketing from home, as I have a toddler. It’s hard to keep up with thoughts on internet marketing, so I am hoping to find some useful sites. Any suggestions would be fantastic!

Online marketing is not cheap. You can spend thousands of dollars on Pay Per Click (Google Adwords) and thousands of site-targetted dollars (AdBrite), and you can spend thousands just buying text links from individual sites. Trust me, I’ve spent thousands on advertising.

I am self employed and do most of my work from my home office. I have two services to market.
The first is a Website design service.
The second Is a programming service…to just code to specs or help in the design of an application and code to specs. I have particular talents (IBM COBOL focused, Visual Basic etc.). Why send the work offshore when I can do it from home?
I’m looking for thoughts on how to target market my services rather than just the shotgun deal with. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. My objective is to stay busy and keep marketing costs and labour to a minimum.
