Do you need a new computer?

Are you feeling overwhelmed by all the choices?

For most buying a new computer is stressful but it does not have to be that way. Prices on computers have dropped considerably in the last few years. Even if you are on a limited budget there are many options available to meet just about every returns.

In fact in now’s market you can get more powerful computer for less money than in previous years.

Even if you don’t have a lot of money there are some simple ways to save when buying your next computer.
The first and simplest way is to shop around for the best deals. I know this sounds pretty evident but many people don’t recognize they don’t need the greatest most pricey computer system to get the job done.

Many of them have older computer systems and just about anything on the market now will be a fantastic improvement from what they already have. Even if you don’t know much about computers you can learn a lot just by shopping.

Make sure you question lots of questions equate pricing and features and you will be amazed at how promptly you will know computer lingo.
Another thing to look out for are computers which come pre-loaded with tons of features and software bringing the pricing up.

Though this can be convenient most of the time you may not need all the bells and whistles and a scaled down model will cost less. If you need extra software you can hold it separately many times for less than you reckon. Software such as anti-virus, pop-up blockers, spyware removal, and firewall software are available free online.

Finally don’t buy extended warranties. If you’re not a computer geek, the extended warranty sounds like a fantastic thought. Let’s face it who want to be bothered paying for computer repair service after buying a computer. But keep in mind that most all computers when bought come with a manufacturer warranty which requires no extra expense on your part.

Another thing to keep in mind is that most computer problems occur either within the first few months of hold in which case you’re covered by the manufacturer warranty or much later when it might just be cheaper to buy a new computer.

If you still feel that you need a extended warranty then try and negotiate a cheaper price, not all retailers will lower the price of the service contract but some will. And whether you buy the extended warranty or not, make sure you back up all your files periodically, just in case.

Remember the key here is to try and save money and regular backups of your computer will insure you won’t have to pay someone to recover your files from a failed hard drive.
