Other things you can do to speed up your computer, once you are sure you are not infected by spyware is to change the start-up configuration. There are many programs that get written into your start-up folder when you install them, usually without your knowing it.

What happens is when you start your computer windows starts to load and also loads those programs which slows your system to a crawl.

To change your start-up options you can use “msconfig”. In order to use this feature of windows all you need to do is to click on the start button in windows and select the Run command. A window opens where you will type in “msconfig”.

This will take you to another window which is the windows configuration. If your running windows vista you may get a security notification just click continue and navigate to the star-up tab. Just select the programs you no longer wish to start when windows loads.

Make sure not to de-select vital programs such as your firewall or antivirus programs. Now your computer will start quicker and even perform better with just this simple change.

One more thing that will help your computer run quicker is to make sure to empty your internet cache on a daily basis. Our Miami computer repair service clients like the internet and spend a lot of time surfing the web.
